I know I never post journal entries here (I rarely even post art), but I kind of feel like posting something outside of Live Journal.

D is going to A-kon, which is exciting because it seems like it's been forever since a band I actually like and listen to has come to A-kon. Pre-registration was supposed to go up to $40 on the 1st, but the shop still listed it at $35 as of 12am on the 3rd, so I bought mine and Lacy's passes. Still need to reserve a room though!

My Christmas was pretty good. Got some jewelry, a book, some absinthe bath salts, gummy frogs, money, a gift card, and other goodies for Christmas. Then Lacy and I went to San Antonio to spend just over a week with our friend Cynthia. It was pretty fun, even though I felt bad that Cynthia was still fighting a chest cold. We watched movies, went out to eat, visited our friend Dai in Houston (where we also went to the zoo), and played games.

New things! I actually ate sushi. I had a Masa Roll at Fujiya and I loved it. First sushi roll I've ever really liked. Also tried some sushi at BuddhaRok, but it was just okay. I think I liked the Masa roll because it was also lightly tempura fried. Also, I think there's something about the flavor of nori that I just don't like very much. Since most sushi rolls have nori, maybe that's why I don't like most sushi.

I also drank some beer. I don't like beer and have never tasted one I like, but one of Cynthia's friends came over and brought 4 beers for us to try. The first was a peach flavored dessert beer. It was delicious! There are some other flavors by the same brand, so I might try more later. The other 3 were not delicious at all. D:

What else? I went to a shooting range and shot several handguns and a rifle. It was more fun than I thought it would be, but I ended up with a sunburn and Cynthia almost (accidentally) exposed my boobs to the guys we were shooting with. D:

While we were away, Lacy and I also started planning some things for a story we've been wanting to write together for a while now. Well, we weren't really planning the story, just the house that our main characters live in.

Before the holidays, I bought a doll head to practice faceups on. I still need to order my mask though. I'm praying I turn out to be awesome at this so I can make some money, but I'm also trying to be realistic. XD There's a doll I want to buy that I can possibly get at 50% off because Lacy bought a doll from the company before. If she gets her doll and can send a picture of her member card before the 28th of February, I can get him for half off. It would be better if I could use him for a character I already have a wig for, but I don't think that will work, so he'll be someone else.
